TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! JACKSON COUNTY INSIDERS ANGRY OVER ALLEGED MIKE SANDERS MEDDLING IN MARK JONES SUSPENSION!!!
County Exec Mike Sanders has always shown a maverick style when tweaking the problems of local government. Now it seems that the hands-on approach of one of KC's favorite politicos has some of his critics crying foul.
TKC was the first news-ish outlet to put this controversy into the limelight and to date the only official (off the record) word was that the Jackson County Counselor was "suspended for the way he conducted his office."
But, as always, there are two sides to this story:
Jones supporters claim that there was a falling out between Sanders and the Counselor under scrutiny and that this suspension might have been a bit of reprisal.
On the other hand, a great many County Insiders report widespread rumors of inappropriate comments to staff from Jones as a key point in his suspension. There is also talk that a close relationship with Sanders is why the County is ready to settle on a pricey deal for this high paid County worker and a guy who most acknowledge is very friendly with the County Exec.
Long story short . . .
INSIDERS AT THE COUNTY ARE ANGRY AT COUNTY EXECUTIVE MIKE SANDERS FOR STICKING HIS NOSE INTO THIS CASE WHICH THEY BELIEVE DESERVES MORE SCRUTINY!!!
Tragically, there's really nowhere for folks making ethics complaints to turn in this state so I'm sure that Mike Sanders won't see any direct fallout from these complaints. However, Sanders was thought to be a reformer of sorts and it seems that so many folks working at Jackson County just don't believe that reputation any longer.
You think Sanders gives a shit about this stupid blog or any of your tipsters?
ReplyDeleteDoubtful.
Wait, how is it "meddling" when he is his boss? You aren;t making any sense.
ReplyDeleteIs Riederer represnting Mark Jones in negotiations with the County?
ReplyDeleteIf so, isn't that a conflict of interest since Little Al is on the Combat Commission, which is a county agency?
1:24 is right. I would be more upset if Sanders had ignored what sounds like a hostile work environment. Was Sanders just supposed to let a supervisor rhetorically goose his workers?
Sanders is not a reformer tony. He is just as bad as Funk. You are just too lazy to do your homework.
ReplyDeleteZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
ReplyDeleteHuh? Story?
Wake me when its over.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Anyone wanna get a beer? Hell, let's get a case a piece and do it right!
ReplyDeleteIf Riederer wants to be mayor he would be better off fixing traffic tickets than representing Horndog bosses.
ReplyDeletehorn dog? Tony I am actually surprised you don't get the whole story here about the political motivations.
ReplyDeleteA major cover up here . This could bring Sanders down and his main man Calvin.
ReplyDeleteGet him out of there but don't pay him so much. And then we wonder why this area always needs more tax money.
ReplyDeletehow much is "so much" and where does Riederer fit into all this?
ReplyDeleteWhen is he going to get LIGHT RAIL built. We want to ride. We want wireless on the TRAIN so we can read TKC on the way to the park for the day.
ReplyDeleteMike Sanders and his hubris will turn him into a political has-been very quickly. I just can't wait to vote against him in 2010 and throw his arrogant, out-of-touch, dumb ass out. Maybe he can get employment as a drag queen somewhere. In Dubai.
