One of Kansas City's biggest political names is on the cusp of making a major announcement.
There's a great deal of news behind this big political move for Kansas City's African-American Community . . . This could be interesting.
But for now, I just want to note . . .
EMANUEL CLEAVER III POSSIBLY RUNNING IN KANSAS CITY'S 5TH DISTRICT COULD COMPLETELY CHANGE THE BALANCE OF POWER IN KANSAS CITY!!!
An interesting detail in all this is that IF the son of Kansas City's former mayor decides to run he'll be going in-district rather than competing directly with Cindy Circo who has now made her alliance with Mayor Funkhouser and Union Boss Louie Wright public by way of her voting record.
Even better, it seems that Kansas City's African-American Community is mobilizing into action on an even wider scale . . .
THERE IS TALK THAT "THE UPCOMING ELECTION CYCLE COULD BE ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT POLITICAL MOMENTS FOR AFRICAN-AMERICANS IN KANSAS CITY!!!"
The talk that "E III" stands on the verge of making a decision and impending announcement will be worth watching when mainstream media finally decides to report AFTER TKC readers have already learned of what's on the local, political horizon. Natch.
It's about time.
ReplyDeleteGod help us.
ReplyDeleteshe'll have to if EIII gets into office.
ReplyDeletePray this doesn't happen.
ReplyDeleteis he man enough to stand up to Louie Wright and do the proper thing? Can he stand up to the Black Clergy if they are wrong? Can he not be another showman, like Terry Riley and do what is good for KC? Hopefully his decent Christian upbringing and studies make him an honest, decent human being. Who cares what color he is if he lives honorably?
ReplyDeleteHopefully, he didn't fall far from the tree. Good for KC if it happens.
ReplyDeleteGreat, here we go again.
ReplyDeleteSomeone new to pander to the black vote in KC.
Lots of progress made under his father.
SO MANY OF YOU PEOPLE DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. CLEAVER IS A GOOD MAN AND A MAN OF GOD. I HOPE HE RUNS AND I WILL MOST DEFINITELY DO MY BEST TO HELP HIM AND MAKE SURE THAT HE WINS.

calm down lady. Don't make this a civil right's case too.
ReplyDeleteI'm disappointed with some of the responses but I think that any new faces at City Hall will be welcomed considering the current crop.
ReplyDeleteHere's the deal. If he's taking Terry's spot then he's already got an in. Not a big story. Sorry Tony.
ReplyDeleteMaybe not a big deal but a good sign that the East side is looking for more options in leadership.
ReplyDeletehe is an Anti-Gay bigot
ReplyDeletejeepers
ReplyDeletethis guy could easily start a fight between the African American and Gay communities. This is dangerous.
ReplyDeletePlease. The black community is too busy killing itself and robbing itself to bother with the gays.
ReplyDeletetrue dat.
ReplyDeleteIf he can keep his illegitimate kids in Arkansas under wraps from his days at Philander Smith College he just might have a chance. If not, he can hang it up.
ReplyDeleteNooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDoes he go up against Cindy DippityHairdo or Ken Baccus? As our freak show Harris said... "throw the bum out!" But which bum?
ReplyDeleteHe will probaby turn out just like Curls and Marcuson or Jolly ---Talk Talk Talk and "Let's have a meeting "
ReplyDeleteAny time that a preacher has more than two suits he is "working a job" not ministering to the less fortunate.
ReplyDeleteWhat if the suits are from Sears?
ReplyDeletelulzerz on that last two comments
ReplyDeleteHe needs to focus on ministry at the church he supposedly pastors. He is ineffective there as the leader and membership is dropping off. He is an Emanuel Cleaver" "wanna be" and except for his father's name he would not be where he is today. He's pittiful as a "pastor" to the members - just ask somebody who goes there or even used to go there.
