Here's a bit of EXCLUSIVE background regarding the ongoing Dress Code mess that still plagues the P&L District.
KICKASS TKC TIPSTERS were kind enough to reveal a major faux pas for P&L District dudes dealing with the minority community.
WORD IS THE P&L DISTRICT OFFERED "DINE OUT" CARDS TO A GREAT MANY MINORITY PARTICIPANTS WILLING TO WORK WITH THEM!!!
And while I know The Great Recession is still going on, a meal at Gordon Biersch just might not be the right negotiation tool in this situation . . . Thankfully, most leaders in the minority community didn't accept the offer or the free food didn't keep them around.
In the aftermath of continued P&L District condescending behavior . . .
The NAACP, the Urban League and the local Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) dropped out of dress code oversight board.
And KCPD Chief Corwin didn't want anything to do with P&L District Plans.
The story is still developing but the giveaways are going to have be a lot better to lure anybody . . . Especially in light of the fact the District SERIOUSLY SLOWS DOWN during the cold part of the year and it is now obvious they don't want avoid the problem and simply train their staff to treat people equally.
Nothing is worse for a server than a table of attitude yielding black folk with a gift certificate.

The "Dine Out" cards are not valid at Gordon Biersch. Only "Cordish" owned restaurants...
ReplyDeleteThe service sucks down at P&L so bad every time I have been down there I can't imagine going out with anyone to have dinner. I am pretty sure it would be embarassing.

Black people do. not. tip. For this reason alone they should be banned from eating anywhere where tipping is standard. Yes this includes Starbucks.
