From The Examiner: "Standing in Independence’s Harry S. Truman Library on Tuesday, state Rep. Paul LeVota, D-Independence, unveiled his plan for legislation that aims to reform ethics and accountability in the Missouri General Assembly."
I'm sorry, I have friends who are Democrats and I would vote for the LeVotas as many times as they asked. But EVERYONE knows this kind of PR stunt is a joke. It's just impossible to hear, read or look at the term "LeVota Ethics Reform" without choking down laughter.

ReplyDeleteYou "would vote for the LeVotas as many times as they asked"? Are you kidding me? The LeVota family is half the reason I question my Democratic party affiliation. They are constant ethics violators.
ReplyDeleteThe real story is that we need to get back to the contribution limits that the voters passed. It doesn't matter is it is LeVota, Grill, Nixon, or Circo. And come on, isn't it actually the Democratic Leader's job to do 'publicity stunts?' Of course it was a stunt or at least an example that the Republicans control everything and things need to change in Jeff City!
ReplyDeleteFor that matter, things need to change everywhere. Did you see there were state reps, county legislators, and city council people all there? Bring on new ethics laws!
And Tony, your boy Talboy is next in line for LeVota's job and Mike will surely take his job seriously and have many publicity stunts to drive the Republicans crazy.
I find it odd that a guy targeted bythe FBI (according to the AP), is now "all about ethics." LOL.
ReplyDeleteYou all should hear Sandy Mayer talk about this issue LOL
ReplyDeleteanon 11:40,
ReplyDeleteI would prefer not to hear Sandy Mayer talk about anything. Her teeth frighten me.
