THE KANSAS CITY X-MAS BLIZZARD!!!

Of course, TKC TIPSTERS predicted all of this weather mess . . . Meanwhile, it's always a dank 67 degrees in my bloggy headquarters (i.e. my mother's basement) so none of this really affects me.

All of the action tonight is really on Twitter @ #KCWeather & #KCStorms and for the most part they're just repeating what they can decipher from Katie Horner's screams and Bryan Busby's shrieks.

Sadly, none of it is as interesting as a collection of NSFW photos of Santa babes from Nick Denton's porn blog.

On the political front . . . Of course, I blame this snowfall on Mayor Funky and The City Council . . . There isn't enough money for snow removal . . .

AND LET'S NOT FORGET THAT MONEY FOR THE MAMMYGATE SETTLEMENT CAME FROM KANSAS CITY'S EMERGENCY FUND!!! THANK YOU GLORIA SQUITIRO!!!

Snow removal in this cowtown has always been a joke but this year's blizzard makes the incompetence of the Funky crew just a little bit bitter.

Brief aside . . . Here's the best line of Kansas City X-mas 2009: "The Chiefs should really look into drafting that woman who tackled the Pope."

Back to the topic of snow . . . While The Star will report the Blizzard in their dead tree edition sometime around Saturday . . . Here are some of my favorite newsy links on the subject of Kansas City's X-mas Blizzard:

  • FOX 4 Weather Blog: How Much Snow Will We Get?

  • So, stay safe out there and remember that Kansas City isn't coming to save you. Also, given that this is one of the worst blizzards I've seen since I was a kid, I'm pretty sure this proves the global warming is a lie . . . Unless all of this is melts by tomorrow. It could happen.

    3. Tony,

LOL at blaming the snow on the Mayor and Council. I'm wondering if they'll push it off on Mike Sanders.

      Until then, Merry Christmas!!

    6. Love it Tony..... I'm sure the Pope's security guards will rest better if she plays for the Chiefs.

RDM... no one blamed the snow on the Funk and/or the Council. I believe that Tony correctly pointed out that the limited amount of snow removal funds that is usually present in the City Budget is going to be diminished by the more than half a million dollar payout to Ruth Bates and the assortment of lawyers that the City paid for (in addition to the cost of its own, in house crackerjack legal team). And who do we blame for that: First And Foremost... Mayor Smart With Nothinghouser and the other half of the Co-Mayoralty, G Squitiro. Next up, the Council who it was written had a chance to settle the Bates Lawsuit for much less than $500,000. Mind you, without the maneuverings and bad behavior of the Gruesome Twosome, the would most likely have been no Bates Lawsuit.

Oh well... who cares if there is less money to salt the roads and clear the snow? And of course, that won't have a huge impact on out safety and financial situation either, will it?

      Thanks Feckless Funk.

Long Live the Orange Revolution, the Orange Revolution is dead!!!

For which we can also thank the Feckless Funk.

    8. There is no budget impact. They simply did not remove the snow.
