ReplyDeleteNow they have rounded up the posse up and appeared on Funk's front porch with promises to help him gain support in the Black community to win reelection in exchange for Funk dropping the hammer on Cordish because Cordish wouldn't give them any money. Adams, Grant, Mann and Tindall have no power because most blacks whites see them for the race hustlers and poverty pimps that they really are.

Most of your so-called African-American leaders around here just want to be personally recognized and personally paid or rewarded in some way by the white leadership. No hammers will drop on Cordish but don't be surprised if somehow this group gets some sort of city grant related to downtown or race sensitivity training. Also remember the Harlem education program Funky visited. Although the KCMSD super went that program is not run in Harlem by the public schools but some non-profit. So look for some lame immitation to be overseen right here in River City by Urban League along with Clinton Adams, who has long had fingers in KC school district.
ReplyDeleteThe original intent of Gwen Grant and her brother Clinton Adams was to get a diversity training contract from Cordish for the Urban League. But when they saw that Cordish wasn't biting, that is when Grant and Adams started barking about racism. All of the others are just hopping aboard the begger's bandwagon. Instead of bullying the city and corporations for contracts, why don't they do their jobs by sitting down and writing good proposals to raise funds for their orgnizations like everybody else?

I am black and trust me a lot of your middle-class so-called activist or leaders would sell out their community in a heartbeat for a seat at the mayor's dinner table or to be fully included in white society, and yes, even better if they get some money out of it. They don't want you to know it but that is their game, personal gain, monetary as well as prestige. If they get it they suddenly deem that theres no more racism in whatever cause they were fighting for and move on to the next venture.

And then you have to write them for something else that actually takes work like starting an education program, a credit repair class to teach people to buy houses without going subprime or God forbid, setting up a network to solve crime and get tips tht involves Ad Hoc for the older, working-class to middle-class black community and, dare I say, Alonzo and others to appeal to the youth and more street-cred conscious crowd.
