While our cowtown City Hall has been full of secretive shadow games as of late . . . There is more than enough hot mess to go around and now it falls on Jackson County Government to continue providing us with entertainment.
SHAME ON THE KANSAS CITY STAR FOR NOT PROVIDING MUCH COVERAGE ON THE SUSPENSION OF JACKSON COUNTY COUNSELOR MARK JONES!!!
The rumors are circling fast and loose regarding his departure.
The essential fact reported by KICKASS TKC TIPSTERS is only that Mark Jones has been suspended for the way he was conducting his office.
But the rumor mill is running wild . . .
THEY say that he was escorted from the just building just like outgoing City Manager Wayne Cauthen.
THEY also cite his "close relationship" with County Executive Mike Sanders.
I've even heard he was the dude's best man and, sadly, their friendship has cooled after almost a year of consistent complaints over Jones.
In any event . . . In comparison to Mayor Funky's fail the County doesn't merit much attention but there are certainly MORE THAN ENOUGH LOCAL GOVERNMENT CONTROVERSIES to keep newsies busy . . . Despite the fact that The Star has already been on vacation for the past week.

ReplyDeleteSanders and Jones are strip club attending buddies. It must be very bad if Sanders was forced to get rid of him.
ReplyDeleteThe state needs to do something about the total lack of ethics in the Jackson County Courthouse.
ReplyDeleteIf Sanders threw this guy under the bus I think we can be sure that there must have been a total breach of ethical conduct on Jone's part. He was part of Sanders's inner circle along with a redneck named Joe Hill. The three of them go out to see the dancers a lot. That's about the only time Mike goes out in public with out his wig and wearing glasses.
Why is there always strip clubs or whorehouses in a Sanders best buddy story? Some of these generated by Sanders himself!
ReplyDeleteSanders appointed Jones and now he is suspending him? Why? Mark Jones is a good guy. The only bad decision he made was accepting the County Counselor's job from Sanders. And didn't Sanders promise Jones the prosecutor's job and then stab him in the back and give it to Kanatzar?

ReplyDeleteDemocrat leaders are getting ready to throw Sanders under the bus because of the ethics problems that he has tried to hush up at the Courthouse. Mark Jones is being sacrificed for refusing to cover up Calvin Williford's kick-back schemes. There will be a press conference early next week, that state and county legislators who will call for an investigation of Sanders and his administration.
ReplyDeleteMark Jones should not be surprised about Sanders's treating him unfairly -- like telling him that he will be prosecutor then handing it to someone else and now this.
ReplyDeleteMike Sanders promised John Bullard that he would support John for Jackson County Sheriff and then Mike switched candidates to support Mike Sharp because Sharp has a large personal fortune.
Sanders is out for Sanders.
Jones had to review all county contracts, so it makes sense that he might have gotten tough on Calvin, who launders kickback money through venders.

Does anyone have a picture of Mr. Jones being removed from the building like Cauthen? Or, is this just something that someone dreamed up and put in an email to Tony to push the little basement-dwellers hot-buttons?

ReplyDeleteThere were pictures of Cauthen being led out. There are security cameras all over the County CH. Show us some pictures of Mr. Jones being led from the building. It did not happen.
