ReplyDeleteI was in Municipal Court Monday and witnessed an interesting event. A woman was red lighted at 55th And 71 HYW. She beat the ticket. She is an attorney, so she knows her law and had a vested interest in challenging this bogus ticket. She cross-examined the KCPD cop who reviews the pictures sent from Arizona. Seems the cop could not verify that the camera was working properly. Nor could he vouch for the test purportedly performed as he did not administer the test. That person is not in KC. Further more the defendant asked if the City had obtained a Certified Copy of the vehicle registration. Nope. Ticket thrown out.
