More City Manager Cauthen Fallout . . .
AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS are saying that Council dude Ed Ford might be earning more support from people looking to take their cash somewhere beyond the current offering of KC politicos . . . Especially given that he has effectively destroyed the Mayor's credibility over the past year - And he's a Northlander with a lot of appeal to the rest of Kansas City - Which almost never happens.
On the other hand, the Kansas City Northland faction who ran the "palace coup" (a great term coined by John Sharp) say that there is already interest in making sure the guy doesn't even get another Council term.
Just file the nepotism charges first.

ReplyDeleteHe has been a complete wash out this term.He started by screwing up the Light Rail Plan. He is so ineffective that nobody bothered to tell him about getting rid of Cauthern until it was over.
light rail was full of dolts especially Funkhouser.

ReplyDeleteI like Ed. He is trying to do his elected duty and serve Kansas City. I like Ed a lot. He did try to work with funk'd, he did try to help funk'd broker some peace. But as usual, funk'd bristled when help was extended. Ed Ford has acted credibly and, for the most part, honorably. What's with this small town lawyer shit? What? My only concern, and it is a big one, is the development lawyers... they can turn most government downtowners into bitches.

Have you all not realized that the Funk is really trying to put Terry Riley into the limelight to try to get him to run and be the one big opponent because Roe has figured out that the one council person the Funkster can beat is Riley. Think and think and learn.
