A murder case against a local resident in a drive-by shooting trial was going south and a judge dismisses the whole deal so the suspect can't be tried again. Why? The judge suspects KCPD detectives were attempting to "goad" the defense into calling for a mistrial.

Call this mistrial what it is - another disastrous effort by Kanatzar's office, not the detectives. The prosecutor's office should always counsel every witness in a pretrial meeting not to comment about prior unrelated law enforcement contacts with the defendant.
