I don't want to brag but some of the people who read TKC were instrumental in taking Mayor Funky's lame light rail proposal apart.
To wit . . . I have an opportunity to ask Clay Chastain some questions and I need your help.
Any bags listening over night STILL interested in this light rail thing should post some questions and I'll get them to Clay ASAP. We're hoping he'll answer them and he seems to be game.
Remember, TKC questions hit harder than anybody else and there is still A LOT that local media has left unanswered.
So . . . We all know that insomniacs rule the world and now it's time to prove that they're smarter than local newsies. Post a question in the comments that's better than what the newsies asked OR send it to me directly: tony@tonyskansascity.com
It's nearly as productive as looking at bikini photo galleries of Fenanda Motta.
ask him if he's still in KC?
ReplyDeleteask him to leave, he hasnt helped us at all, just go on and find a new cause in your new city
ReplyDeleteAsk him if he's "lost" any silver UFO shaped balloons lately?
ReplyDeleteAsk him why he keeps proposing the same bad north-south route again and again. The right way to run a streetcar line--yes, that's what it should be--is east to west, along Truman.
ReplyDeleteThat east west is not a bad idea.
ReplyDeleteAsk him who the F he thinks he is ...
ReplyDeleteWhy does his proposal include a ferris wheel in Penn Valley Park? Shouldn't we be focusing on transporation? Doesn't it make sense to use existing right of ways for existing rail lines; it seems to have less infrastructure costs? Example, trolly track trail. What does he think about reusing existing rail lines for commuter rail and rebuilding streetcar lines on existing right-of-ways?
ReplyDeleteAsk him if the busses don't work moving people in KC, why will fixed rail be any better.
ReplyDeleteOr, why does the city not want mass transit to KCI. Who's profiting from the parking up there?
12:27 you got the right question on the parking and it will be sidestepped. There is a KCI C.I.D. and it gets a percentage of taxes paid on goods and services within the boundaries of the CENTRAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT. How much have they collected from the car people?
ReplyDeleteWho reports on this: The City of Kansas City.
A ferris wheel would be nice! How about a circus and some clowns too? Oh wait, we already have those at City Hall.
