Kansas City's next Mayoral election is getting so crowded it looks like current Mayor Funkhouser might even have a chance to come out of the primary.
FORMER PORT AUTHORITY DUDE BILL JOHNSON IS THE LATEST NAME TO MAKE THE LIST OF KANSAS CITY MAYORAL HOPEFULS!!!
Now, I've heard that "Sly" is a horrible name for a political candidate but former Port Authority Chairman Bill Johnson has a moniker that isn't the least bit distinct.
However, he was in charge of the Port Authority and since current Mayoral Candidate and Former Council dude Mike Burke has resigned most of his civic entanglements but has yet to give up his paying gig for that local org. then it's obviously important.
So . . . The KC Mayoral field keeps getting more crowded . . . And I've noticed that (other than former Council lady Janice Ellis still running her campaign on Broadway) there aren't many women involved . . . Potential KC Bosses are engaged in a bit of a sausage fest which I guess is appropriate since they're all a bunch of weenies.
If you keep guessing who will be the next mayor you'll eventually get it right...and then tell us you were right for the next week.

ReplyDeleteAnon 1213PM... I'll guess that the next Mayor won't be the Funk and or the Co-Mayor. Other than that, who cares who the next Mayor is? If I cared about anything related to municpal government it would be that the Mayor and Council Titans have a term limit of 6 months and that the putrid Cauthen gets the shoe as soon as the next election takes place. Getting rid of Cauthen should be a litmus test issue for each and every aspirant to elected office in KAnsas City Missouri. And hopefully Cauthen will get expunged in a civl way, not treated so badly, rudely and without any respect as he was by Mayor Smart With Nothinghouser which is how it came to be that the otherwise hapless City Council was united in a truly historic way to vote Cauthen and extension to his contract.
