We all know that Kim Carlos is an ambitious lady . . . Remember that Kim Carlos runs Kansas City politics.
Therefore I'm not surprised to hear talk from KICKASS TKC TIPSTERS that Kim Carlos wants to become Kansas City's lobbyist after the next election cycle.
Which is strange because I've also been hearing that some lady is going around town talking really bad about Kansas City's current crop of lobbyists.
This kind of nastiness is uncharacteristic of Kansas City politics and I should remind folks that Kim Carlos and her consulting company own a kickass client list heavy with politicos on the City Council . . . So she obviously doesn't need to smear anybody given that she's so well connected.
One thing is certain, I would never want to pick a fight with this up-and-coming Kansas City political star . . . As she constantly reminds us, she "beat" cancer (i.e. she's currently in remission) so I'm sure she would make quick work of TKC.
Quit picking on Kim.

ReplyDeleteIn addition to her own "business" she still books clients (EWWW) through Lynn Hinckles' Astra Communications, which specializes in no-work, high-fee contracts granted by friends in City Government.
ReplyDeleteIn addition, she sells "political consulting services" to a certain nail tech on city council; which produces insightful info like, "No Cindy, a trampy, plunging neckline is not inappropriate at council business meetings when you need John Sharp's vote."
Maybe we should raise taxes in order to cover all of Kim's "Classy" costs?
Would be a massive mistake for the City. Gamble is the City's lobbyist, and he actually works for the money.

Who wouldn't want the city's lobbying contract... it's a big one. It would be nice to see our city represented by someone that actually lives in it... what a concept.

I agree with the comment above! The lobbyists for the city and the lobbyist for the county don't, and have never lived in this area. It would be great to see someone that actually had a vested interest and cares about her city representing our Kansas City.
You know, I'd rather have a lobbyist that knows the people that are being lobbied, and has the experience to get the job done.
