Tron Legacy and local blogs I hate!!!
Seems to me I've been too nice to fellow bloggers as of late. I enjoy the snark directed my way because it's proof that you're thinking about me way more than I'm thinking about you . . . So, it's time to share a bit of the love/hate.
First . . .
I'd like to thank MySpyderWeb for single-handedly killing the Kansas City blogging community.
She started one of her many failed attempts at a blogging by stealing most of the links from my blogroll and in more than a year of sporadic posts has managed only to develop a critical mass of 6 PEOPLE AT A BLOGGER MEETUP!!!!
Amazing!!! One white women and about a dozen cliquish 30 and 40 somethings in Kansas City took the most powerful form of personal communication developed in a generation and have used it only to find drinking buddies and screw fat chicks . . . I guess that's cool but it's probably why facebook is so much more popular than people actually using the Internet to express a thought.
The sad fact of it all is that most newsies don't have to worry about competition from the Internet because most online denizens in Kansas City don't have anything to say.
It gets worse . . .
The D Rules on Twitter . . . This douchebag has composed nearly 9,055 "tweets" (ugh) for only 230 followers. I have more than twice that many "followers" (ugh) checking out the TKC Twitter and it's just an afterthought. His efforts on the Internet really are the equivalent of a tree falling in the woods with no one to hear.
Even worser still . . .
In secret and like a coward The Hip Suburban White Guy (I know) talks smack about TKC . . . Which is kind of sad because he used to troll this blog a few years ago for about a half a year.
Check out his latest post, I'm calling it:
DIARY OF A DOUCHE BAG!!!
It has all the key elements of a douche missive . . . Older guy hitting on younger C-list white chick who probably has some kind of self-esteem issues. There are notes on the Fringe Festival and links to local places to eat. It's like a formula for you middle-class suburbanites who mistakenly think that voting for Obama makes everything right.
All of the Kansas City bloggers make the Internet worthless in this town.
They could do better . . . But they won't . . . These folks and anyone who reads them are simply the living embodiment of the fact that white privilege makes the world a horrible place.
On the bright side . . .
The trailer for "Tron Legacy" looks amazing. It's the kind of thing I'd like to share with my friends online if I had any.
The Tron Legacy/Micheal Jackson "Beat It" mashup is even better.
Again, this kind of stuff would be sweet to share with buddies I've made online but that kind of thing has been denied to me and most other minorities in the blogosphere because of the inherent racism of the local blogging clique and their refusal to deal with most minorities on the level of anything other than a mascot or a token . . . And that fact is why their bloggy club is mostly just a place for old guys to screw fat chicks . . . Which, again, sounds fun and I'm really just jealous I don't get invited more often.
