The Ghosts of Gloria Squitiro!!!

Gloria Squitiro is talking bad about Council people and it turns out that she's pretty much running the Mayor's office . . . That's not really news to me.

What's more important . . . Co-Mayor Squitiro is seeing "spirits" or at least she's writing as much in her book notes:
"I saw a teenage spirit last night -- It scared me, but mostly I just wanted to have a good night sleep. Funk and I haven't slept well in ages. Time enough to get my courage up to allow a spirit to come shining through."
Seriously . . . This is just spooky . . . Not spooky because I think Gloria has the power to see "spirits" but scary when I think that the woman who is pretty much the Mayor of Kansas City is writing for everyone to see that she's delusional.

Damn.

  4. Gloria's writings are pretty revealing of the inner workings (or not) of city government. Many individual citizens, businesses, non-profit organizations, and other entities have not been serviced or even recognized as they try to penetrate their way into city hall in order to get their voice or issue heard. Her diary gives us a small clue as to what obstacles might lie in the way of getting any attention from any of those arrogant a-holes in city government. This includes all the city council as well. Information is power and the power should be in the hands of the people and not government. Any chance that "Part One" of this diary is in the public domain? If so get it out to the people. It might explain how legitimate issues may not have seen the light of day due to selfish and childish behavior at city hall. Then the people would have more leverage to make government accountable.

  5. It is time to have a shrink check over the mayor to see if he is O.K. That woman might have had him possessed.

  6. Blah Blah Blah, are those chicks in "Ghostbusters" outfits?

  7. yes. Why did the Star leave out that passage. It's kind of weird that The Mayor's wife is writing about this kind of stuff.
