It's a fact according to TKC Tipsters who take a look at reader reaction and even Internet response . . . His missive about waiting for his wife while shopping isn't my cup of tea but I do respect an old dude commanding almost as many readers as Whitlock. Seriously.

Scarey, isn't it? To discover that you're not the only guy in town getting read? And in fact, your numbers are INSIGNIFICANT compared to the tradional media, both press and electronic.
ReplyDeleteBig media looks down at you on the ground screaming to get attention... and ya know what? They can't even hear what you're saying? Welcome to real mathematics! We bloggers at this level are alone in our bedrooms abusing ourselves.
As a guy who was for a long time, in the REAL media, I'm fine with telling you what you obviously don't understand! There just aren't very many others sharing your little toileet bowl world!
I expect the guy on the exit ramp, holding up the sign that says "HOMELESS, PLEASE HELP, GOD BLESS" has more readers than you do!
My GOD he is still alive? I thought he died in the wine section of Costco. Someone should check.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I would really like to write a column in The Star about why we should support with our tax dollars churches who hate Gay and Lesbian people.
Radioputz needs another job in radio.
ReplyDeletePlease learn how to spell. Scarey is not a word. Fuck you're almost as bad as Tony.
ReplyDeleteId like to know why we shoudl support our churches at ALL, including with Schedule A deductions! I don't see them as charitable organizations... and theyre turning more political all the time.
ReplyDeleteIm for deductions for contributions... but if you can't contribute the entire amount for a box of GS cookies because you ATE them and that was value, then why can we deduct the ENTIRE amount of donation to a church?
We eat THAT banana whole too! To the extent they provide free services to the needy, fine, Im for taking that cut. But not to deduct my donation to the pastor's salary. he's running a business whose logo just happens to be a cross and whose product is mystical.
Anony, out yourself. Are you just a radio room escapee? Do you have any ideas of your own?
ReplyDeleteMy idea is that working in radio is overrated.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is surprising exactly how?
ReplyDeleteDon't you rail on the dead tree media and how out of touch it is with the current consumer? Of course this old coot's columns are popular with the Medicare eligible and AARP people who still subscribe and send real paper letters with stamps back in response.
My mother-in-law writes a twice weekly cheesy column in a small town paper about shit that happened 50+ years ago. She gets incredible response both at the paper and at home. That kind of writing still sells papers. She has a better editor the Gusewelle. She isn't allowed to meander into meaningless side stories and musings.
You seem to have a bit of a bias agaisnt old people. I'm sure you know what God's dirty trick has in store for you, if the flu and one or his ever popular diseases don't get you first?
ReplyDeleteWith a little luck, you'll have pissed off any children you might have and they won't even visit you in the nursing home so you'll be the last to eat lunch everyday.
