Interesting invite turned up in my e-mail this morning. There are a couple of vigils being planned for the late King of Pop tonight. Here's one being organized using Obama's information infrastructure:

Don't expect the news cycle to end on this one anytime soon. I mean, c'mon. We could be fighting about healthcare or something equally boring.

  1. Not to nitpick, but it will be about 95' and still blazingly sunny at 7pm.

  2. Wow,important stuff being discussed here.

Nevermind that the largest tax increase in history is being voted on in the name of preventing photosynthesis.

I would venture a guess that the seven bawling morons holding candles tonight will likely all be unemployed bloggers.

Who cares if momma can't afford to air condidtion your basement home anymore?

Maybe you all could hold fake candles to do your part in starving the trees of the co2 they breath.

I always thought you yahoos hugged trees, now I realize you were just trying to choke them.

Do the moonwalk for me moonbat.

  3. WTF? Granted, MJ put out some great music back in the '80s, but how many people could honestly name a song he's done since then? Why all the celebration of a washed up musician who hasn't had a hit in years? The only thing that kept MJ from teetering over the brink of irrelevancy has been his utter weirdness and "freak factor."

  4. This must be a joke right? We are going to honor a pop celebrity whose greatest moment was 20 years ago and since has had a steady decline of sanity and solvency until he dies at 50 under questionable circumstances 400 milliion dollars in debt?

    Ok, count me in.
