Regarding any change that might happen with the Kansas City School District.:
Education Bill 291 went down in flames yesterday is now being bounced around Jeff City like a young woman starting a career in Public Relations.
The KICKASS people in Jeff City that TKC talks to note that Missouri Republicans have created such a monster with this bill and silly add-ons that not even their own people will pass it . . . Still, there's a chance that something useful might come out of all this . . . Just not the complete and total takeover of the Kansas City Missouri School District that is really the only solution to this town's debilitating school problem.
Don't get your hopes up, it is going to die.
ReplyDeleteit died and the KCMO School District gets to continue to do what it wants--which is virtually nothing--and all behind closed "How dare you ask what's going on?!" doors.

ReplyDeleteCan we recall the school board and let the superintendent run the school district? My first choice would be to eliminate the schoold distict, divvy up the schools by assigning them to the nearby school districts. Like the way Independence got the 7 schools last year. Now let's get Raytown, Hickman Mills, Park Hills, North KC, etc., to take over the rest of them!
