WHY AREN'T THERE ANY RED LIGHT CAMERAS IN THE NORTHLAND?!?!?!?! DON'T WE CARE ABOUT THEIR SAFETY AS WELL!?!?!
I'm sure folks in the Northland run red lights too and as long as there is an effort to "ensure the safety" of folks all over Midtown . . . Parts of The Northland which reside in KC Proper might benefit from this effort as well . . . Or maybe the politicos who pushed this from across the river realize that their constituents would hold them accountable for

ReplyDeleteNowhere in Kansas City's northland has traffic as dense and target rich as SouthWest trafficway. A couple places in Liberty might justify one.
ReplyDeleteSuburban northland people simply will not tolerate such b.s. The people who live in the city are accustomed to getting screwed by the city. Poor people don't pay tickets anyway so they never complain. Put a bunch of red light cameras in the Northland and there will be an uproar.

ReplyDeleteIt's like everything else- go after the easy targets. The average person who can't afford to take off work to go to court or hire a lawyer.
ReplyDeleteIf these tickets are truly people who enter the intersection after the light has turned red, then great. I'm not so sure that's the case though.
