The City Council rejects the proposal of applying to lease Kansas City International Airport to a private operator . . . I think I remember saying this wasn't going to happen. Once again, TKC is probably proven correct.

How did Beth vote?
ReplyDeleteBill Skaggs and Mark Van Loh's career plan goes down in flames. This was a vote for the citizens of KC who are not interested in an inconveniant 1 terminal airport, which along with padding those guys careers was the master plan.
ReplyDeleteBeth was too busy sending princess Twitter updates to know what she was voting on.
ReplyDeleteDrama on Ch 2. Ford says he can't "understand" the politics.
ReplyDeleteJohnson ranting. Skaggs begging.
Someone needs to get a list of travel provided to Council members to understand this vote. It might be tuff though because misinformation and illusive data is common from the Aviation Director and his staff.
What couldn't be said was that the rest of the council is tired of the Aviation Department *"buying" the support of Committee Chairs for wild goose chase ideas.
It's clear that the other cities applications have disintegrated and that pushing the deal makes people uncomfortable and is wasted time and effort.
8 Council Members said no to the wasted effort and sent a strong message to Transportation and Infrastructure committee Chairs/Former Chairs who are always glad to help Van Loh because he juices them with travel perks.
What is her Twitter channel?
