Kansas City Area Transportation Authority today approved a series of bus service cuts to cope with a shortfall in city funding.
And let's remember how much wasted effort went into light rail when people who really cared about transit, and weren't out to just win a contract, noted that the useless debate didn't solve Kansas City's more pressing light rail concerns.

ReplyDeleteYeah, this one isn't on Funky Town or the light rail people. Light rail failed. The Bus tax passed. In theory, nothing could have been better for the bus service..
ReplyDeletethe only reason the bus tax passed was the developers provided campaign funds so they could have a new tif revenune stream. the city is diverting more money every year for tif.

If you can't get a bus to a stop on time or with any reliability, how could you run a train. The KCATA is a joke and we need to treat them like the clowns they are.
