TKC TIPSTERS STAND UP!!!
I don't have much to do with any of this reporting but a KICKASS TKC TIPSTER provided most of this info and all I'm doing is posing it and filling in a few details.
Check it:
The Jackson County Board of Election Commissioners were looking a qualified candidate to fill the position vacated by Charlene Davis (retiring), the Republican County Director of Elections (paid position $80-90k, with two Directors: a Republican and a Democrat).
The Chairwoman of the Board of Election Commissioners, Tammy Brown, (allegedly) did something in keeping with the sterling ethics of Jackson County: She nominated herself for the job. And of course her fellow commissioners, in their wisdom, concurred and voted her in.
AW DAMN!!!
I'm sure this move is perfectly legal but it just doesn't smell right. In fact, it has a lot in common with recent ethics regs that don't really apply to the Jackson County politicos for which they were written.
A special thanks to the TKC Tipster who came up with this news of a great many people upset at allegations of the recent conduct of Jackson County public officals which has heretofore gone unnoticed except on local blogs.
Woman gets job, now that is breaking news.
ReplyDeleteLame.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like par for the course at the County.
Tony, you understand that the election board is run by the state of missouri and not the county.
ReplyDeleteObviously I am not blowing the right people. WTF?
ReplyDelete"has ... went unnoticed?"
ReplyDeletegosh, i'm almost sorry the internet came back at work.
Consolidate the election boards. Get rid of the people who are riding the 80 thousand dollar jobs that we pay and pay and pay for.
