Here's yet another reason that this town's economy is in the crapper and promises regarding infrastructure and "A City That Works" are nothing more than empty rhetoric and propaganda . . .
According to the KC Biz Journal: The municipal bond market is suffering from “extremely low” liquidity and “significant uncertainty about the future,” according to a study Black & Veatch released Wednesday.
Just think, Light Rail advocates were touting the KC muni-bond outlook despite the fact they didn't know what they were talking about . . .
"Municipal bonds are the main instrument for financing capital and infrastructure projects at all levels of municipal government, Kansas City-based Black & Veatch said in the release."
Translation: This borrowing avenue is closed for now and Kansas City will now be forced to look other places (i.e. more taxes) to finance high flying projects that still excite this town's cheerleaders.
Councilman Not So Sharp says in private that we can get the GOVERNMENT bailout funds arranged so that we can finally get Light rail in spite of what the Flat earthers and Nay saysers do with our vote process.
ReplyDeleteHow is KC going to get any federal funding?
ReplyDeleteI doubt Cleaver (Hillary supporter and fan of ear-marking) can get it for us.
I don't see a lot of support for Claire in KC politico circles (as exemplified by certain blog postings authored by a douchey-politico-failed attorney-Funk supporter).
Nobody on a national level outside of Jerry Springer is willing to return a phone call from Funk...or most of our Council for that matter.
Stimulus?
ReplyDeleteHey Tony, is this a picture of your girlfriend? Can't be... because if it was, you would never leave her side and make time for TKC.
ReplyDeleteAh...the mention of Light Rail. Oh it turns me on....
ReplyDeleteTony getting trim. Now thats fucking funny. Except for masturbating to Gloria.
ReplyDeleteSo have you gotten the real deal on the way that the bonds were first played? First we loaned Cordish $60 Million and then we went looking for some one to buy the handshake deal. I heard that Sly James was in on it.
