The Sprint Layoffs are going to hit JoCo like a ton of bricks.
Here's a recent headline from NBC Action News: Sprint's Layoffs Affect Overland Park Taxpayers
Very simply, the mass layoffs mean less revenue . . .
Anybody who has been by the "Sprint Campus" in the morning or the afternoon can report that there are far less people on the around than ever before . . .
THE FACT IS, THE SPRINT CAMPUS IN JOCO IS PRETTY MUCH A GHOST TOWN!!!
Seriously, I kind of feel sorry for the employees that are left behind. Sure they've got a job but I imagine that working at The Sprint Campus nowadays must be a lot like being the caretaker at the Overlook Hotel . . . Ya know, the one from The Shining.
All layoffs and no co-workers make last remaining Telcom people insane . . . Or something.
And just think . . . The only thing they had to do in order to prevent this tragedy was make phones that worked.
Or at least get a signal outside their HQ or The Sprint Center.
ReplyDeleteAmen. They lost my money this year due to that and piss poor support at the stores. The so called 'techs' can't transfer data between phones to save a life. Also waiting for an hour to get to talk to one of these idiots was just a bit much.
ReplyDeleteI use their air card which has given me no problems at all BUT I had to wait an hour like guy above to even be seen to get one. Also, their phone coverage areas are not nearly as good as Verizon...so I don't use their cell phone service. Are you listening, Sprint?
ReplyDeleteSprint sucks. They'll be out of business or bought out in less than five years.
ReplyDeleteSurprising they've made it this long.
ReplyDeleteThe loyalty of so many of my friends is amazing though... Hey Sprint users: look at your phone right now. How many bars do you have?
