Here's a bit more detail on a story The Pitch covered first regarding the adventures and legal wrangling between Chuck Eddy and his brother in law and their competing Kansas City Society magazines.
Strangely, I didn't know Kansas City needed two high society magazines.
Chuck Eddy's Magazine is represented by Albert Riederer, the former Jackson County prosecuting attorney and appeals court judge . . . That was a fact reported by an anonymous commenter on this blog over the weekend. The d-bag writer of The Star article makes a loose connection to Reiderer's political ambitions because helping a obscure magazine is sure to win the hearts and minds of Kansas City's populace.
I don't want to even quote the article because it's pretty dry and doesn't mention the fact that both of these magazines suck.
As for the struggle and the lives of Kansas City political players . . . It's pretty much as interesting as any magazine at the dentist's office . . . Which makes this tale somewhat apropos.
Riederer is crooked as my dog's hind leg.
