Morning link look back: Just about every X-mas cliché reported as Kansas City News

The vast majority of Kansas City newsies have been phoning it in since Monday . . . Here are all the typical (and mostly useless) recent holiday stories I've been reading which include heartwarming human interest articles, people giving out of the goodness of their heart even a bit of holiday danger:

  • Metro Soldiers Have Merry Homecoming from Afghanistan

  • Spreading Holiday Cheer for Young Children of Jailed Parents

  • The Kansas City Police Department adopts several families for Christmas.

  • Anonymous Donor Gives Gold Coin to Salvation Army

  • Hallmark Snow Globes Recalled Over Fire Risk

    1. Not quite, Tony.

We've yet to see the distraught white trailer trash mother with kids hanging on to her skirt lamenting that "thieves" broke into her single-wide and stole all the presents "right from under the tree."

"What sort of cold-heart would do that," she wails.

Trouble is, there was no tree, no gifts, and the kids are a stage, for this skank is a fraud. She uses this ruse every year, as often as she can get away with it, to imply her "loss" when in fact no theft occured.

But there definitely is a stringy-haired, sallow-faced, meth-head doing her best to scam the public and whichever TV news station is the hardest up for news...that would always be KCTV-5.
