U.S. Census Bureau Regional Manager Dennis Johnson, whose Kansas City, Mo., office oversees six states, says the bureau plans to hire about 1,000 people in Kansas, with at least a few workers in every county.
And while I'm not an expert in this kind of thing, I will note that speaking Spanish might be a bonus given that "minorities are a majority" in a few Kansas Counties.
