Expensive renovations at the behest of a few dozen middle-class people will fail to produce any significant benefits other than smiles from hipsters and big media reporters . . . In much the same way that so-many so-called environmentalists don't contribute much but would club live puppy seals to death for a profile in the paper (waster) of record.
