The Kansas City Kansan will no longer be publishing a printed newspaper after Jan. 10.
It'll be interesting to see if the KC Kansan can sustain itself only with Internet revenue . . . In 2008, Kansas City has seen the future of print media and it consists mostly of layoffs, cutbacks and a growing suspicion that the dead tree epoch of news is finished. Face it, printing day old news on sheets of paper is just not sustainable . . . Now print rags will struggle to define themselves using technology that allows ANYBODY to publish, compete and freely borrow in a digital world.
