Watching the Chiefs humiliated in front of a national audience is always one of my favorite pastimes but I have to admit that my favorite moment of this season so far has been an impromptu bongo performance by Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson after a 66 yard touchdown run.
Sadly, he's paying the price for making every member of the Kansas City defense look like an idiot.
Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson has been fined $10,000 by the NFL for his touchdown celebration during last Sunday's 34-10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.Actually, I think this is money well spent and (again) for me it was the most entertaining moment of the afternoon. The fact that the Chiefs are going to lose, a lot, this season is a bit of a bummer so encouraging folks to have fun while watching Kansas City's team take a beating could be the only thing that will draw people to the otherwise empty stadium.
"There's no fun in this league. I was trying to have fun and they want to penalize me for it."
Double Bonus: The guy also got a bongo set as a present . . . And, after all, 10k is a pittance for an NFL running back.
I agree Tony. Watching the chiefettes humiliate themselves week after week, year after year, brings me untold pleasure...same with the royalettes.
ReplyDeleteHad it been a Tennessee set of drums, all would have been cool, but the fact that he did it on Tony DiPardo's (a consummate over-the-hill parasite) drums is a no no. It's not like they have any reason to play them what with the chiefettes mediocre scoring.
That would be like tripping War Paint, if he (she?) was still on the sidelines. Oh, wait, the chiefettes don't score any touchdowns. Never mind.
When will the pink-uniformed chiefettes leave town...permanently?
hahahahaha.....bitches!
ReplyDeletebasically it was a huge show of disprespect and deserved the fine.
ReplyDeletei'm as sick of the shenanigans at One Arrowhead and with the team as anyone, but that doesn't excuse Johnson's behavior.
not alot different imo than if pollard had stood over tom brady and applauded the season-ending injury.
I can't wait till the NBA gets here.
ReplyDeleteOh, I guess I will have to.
