A few weeks ago I asked the Mayor if he had any credibility when it comes to the fight against crime . . . It turns out the answer is no given that the week's spate of murders have gone unnoticed by his Administration.
WHERE IS THE MAYOR'S TOKEN PR MOVE ON LOCAL MURDERS AS THIS CITY SLOUCHES TOWARD 100 PEOPLE KILLED THIS YEAR?!?!?!
I've long noted that the Mayor was weak on crime but even Mayor Kay had to hand the issue off to Alvin Brooks when the number got too embarrasing.
It looks like Cathy Jolly is taking the lead on this one and will apparently be fighting Kansas City's murder rate with her cuteness.
Still, Mayor Funky has yet to provide even a well intentioned (but completely impotent) press conference . . . And the "Mayors Against Illegal Guns" initiative has seemingly been forgotten after more than 11 months in the works.
In fact, word is he's still putting all of his effort into his big showdown with the Council regarding his wife and the volunteer ordinance while the rest of this town contemplates the steady stream of murders.
Come out come out wherever you are... yes, this means you Funk A Dunk.

Tony, KC Crime has been raging out of control for years. The media and the politicians play it down to avoid the obvious. They have no solutions!

Jolly's lack of brains clouds any idea that she is pretty.
