Missouri state Rep. Scott Muschany, R-Frontenac, was indicted today in connection with a reported sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl on May 17, the day after this year’s Legislative session ended.Here's a detail The Star hasn't given you . . .
The alleged victim is the daughter of a state employee. The girl’s mother and Muschany -– who is married and has two children -- were romantically involved, the woman said.
A Cole County grand jury returned an indictment today charging Muschany with the Class C felony of "deviate sexual assault." The indictment identifies the victim only by initials. It says that on May 17, Muschany "had deviate sexual intercourse" with the girl, "knowing that he did so without" her consent.
Even worse, when you check out the guy's record you'll find that Muschany is on the "Children and Families" committee . . .In fact, he recently co-sponsored a bill requiring the Governor to issue a proclamation annually designating the second week of September as Parent and Family Involvement in Education Week . . . Which is kind of nice and has nothing to do with the molesting minors.
Apparently, Muschany is known for speaking piously about the rights of children and a lot of other "family values" garbage that comes from the Republican side and is obviously meaningless.
And democrats never do anything wrong?

ReplyDeleteThat's good point and that's really just disgusting what he did. But I wonder why they authorities didn't act on it sooner. It seems like if this was before the primary things would have turned out even worse for a lot of republicans. Oh, well I guess we'll see what the new Republican scandal is in November.
ReplyDeleteLet's not forget the deviate behavior engaged by employees of the City Manager's office. That's closer to home, but never gets referenced or discussed. Let's clean up the City Manager's office before worrying about Jefferson City.

ReplyDeleteI missed the bill you were writing about, but I noted on my blog that in 2006, Muschany co-sponsored a bill sponsored by Rep. Steve Tilley that would have drastically increased penalties for adults over the age of 30 who had sex with teens and during the 2007 session, Muschany also co-sponsored a bill sponsored by Rep. Cynthia Davis that would have changed the way sex education is taught to Missouri teenagers

Being a sexual deviant and preying on young kids while sleeping with the mothers all the while professing your moral and pious standing, sanctity of marriage, protection of children and family values has nothing to do with corruption you moron. This guy is a sick twisted hypocrite who falls nothing short of the fraud that he is. While these other Moral and Values folks like Mark Foley -R (Florida), Larry Craig - R (Idaho), Sen. Vittner -R (Louisiana) are almost as bad, this creep Muschany takes the cake. And what the hell was the mother doing witnessing the act(s) and not reporting it. What an awful human she is too. Hopefully she is charged as well.
