A lot of local bloggers are wondering if Chad Pennington is coming to Kansas City as a result of the Favre trade . . . I could care less but this seems to be a pretty decent rumor among sports fans on the Internets. Check it:
And all of the talk is well and good except that the Chiefs don't stand a chance of making the playoffs this season even if they managed to resurrect Johnny Unitas from the grave. It's not a question of players or even coaches (even though most of them are horribly overrated) . . . It's the organization that is without any significant interest in winning and beholden to outdated thinking and a small media market. So the trade talk is a wonderful diversion and I guess it keeps folks entertained after nearly a generation of one mediocre season after the next.
And that is exactly why it is so funny because it won't mean a thing. It is just a love story between 2 men: Edwards and Pennington.
ReplyDeletehorribly overrated? they are one of the youngest teams!no they probably wont win much this year but next year? lookout!
