For some reason I have a stupid sense of self-confidence that that makes me not only care less about criticism but also gives me little need for a politician disguised as Savior.
A recent poll suggests that Latinos love Obama by a huge margin. I don't dispute the results at all and in fact that kind of thing might even be good for inter-racial relations (or at least picking up hot-ass Black chicks) . . . HOWEVER, I should point out that Mexican-Americans (the largest segment of Latinos in this nation) also love Menudo. Menudo is made with tripe and I'll be damned if I ever eat another bowl again. Sorry Grandma. But tripe is tripe whether it's unquestioning mass hysteria over the coming of the Black messiah or cow stomach served on a Sunday morning. Therefore, I think the judgment of "these people" should be examined critically like everything else. It also kind annoys me that a quite a few Dems welcome this news but then duck for cover when any kind of immigration issue comes to light in the Midwest.
So, I don't know who I'm going to support yet but I can say for certain that any kind of identity politics news story isn't going to impress me. Put the vaguely brown Bill Richardson on the ticket and I'm sold . . . Anything less is the media and politicos trying to sway opinion citing group think.
go ahead and vote for them if you want higher taxes and more foreign wars. the dems hasnt come out and give his platform at all yet when is he going to do that. but of ccourse you dont pay taxes so you would more then likely vote for him. i respected richardson but not no more im a dem and going to vote for mccain who i feel is the best man to run this country.
ReplyDeleteNice photo T. did you do that?
ReplyDeleteDon't be a hater man.
ReplyDeleteVaguely brown Bill Richardson? That guy grew up in Mexico City. Although I love ya Tony the guy is a lot browner than you, well as long as you keep that lame ass white voice guey.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Pozole and Panzita are way better than Menudo.
So ... if the "vaguely brown" guy gets put on the ticket, you're voting Democrat. And yet, in the previous sentence, you said that "identity politics" isn't going to impress you.
ReplyDeleteUnless, of course, the identity of the person happens to be Latino. I see.
With all due respect, you really are a hypocritical d-bag. And people wonder why race relations in this country are so poor ...
