Actually, this is some of the best news I've heard all day . . . No joke: Kansas City is teaming up with the Heartland Tree Alliance to plant 120,000 trees over the next 10 years.
It's hard to be cynical about more trees in Kansas City, especially since they aren't hanging minorities and po'folk from them anymore . . . I know there has been an absence of trees in Midtown since the Great Westport Oak, sometimes known as "the hanging tree" fell thanks to the ice storm of 2002.
I heard that some blacks wearing white t-shirts knocked down that Westport tree.
ReplyDeleteIf people only knew what the white tee and the hang low pants really signified: It's a prison thing that is an indicator for butt sex.
ReplyDeleteJust ain't right that so many are copying this style.
I drove down on the Eastside and boy, new curbs and sidewalks. New bus shelters, new bus benches with a nice brick wall.
ReplyDeleteIt's either the people in Brookside gets new curbs and sidewalks or the Eastside.
Who gets screwed? Middle class white people and Tony's neighborhood
