Cyclists soon to screw up Kansas City streets

Tour of Missouri Returns to KC . . . Sadly, there's only phony PR numbers regarding the economic benefit of this event but last year the sorry excuse for a sport was proven to cause hours of traffic jams and needless delay in what was yet another example that Kansas City cycling advocates and enthusiasts don't really care about this town or its residents as long as their hobby get preferential treatment.

  1. i recommend everyone buys a couple boxes of 1000 metal tacks and tosses them in the road before/during the race. double points if a biker actually falls on them.

  2. I saw a letter to the (KCStar) editor in Sunday's paper from a bycyclist in joco thanking a respectful motorist and reminding the rest of us that we need to respect their rights and be mindful of their rights. right. less than two hours later i'm driving back from an errand when here come two folks on bikes - no helmets - and turn in front of me using no hand signals. had i been going faster, they'd been under my wheels. but here's what's worse... not 2/10s of a mile later, i coming up on an already yellow light. i couldn't make it through so stopped. but that didn't stop the dbag coming the other way on a bike right through an already red light. if bicyclists want respect, let's start by them obeying traffic laws. better yet, let'em find a friggin' trail. mt

  3. I propose anyone putting tacks in the road be fined for littering, malicious mischief and forced to pay for all the automobile tires that will more than likely pick them up instead of the bikes.

  4. I will personally injure and/or maim 3 cyclists during this event.
Also, I will kill each hipster seen doing an unnecessary track stand just for show.
    Hey, I'm just sayin' ;)
