An Affront to Mayor Funky! Also, there's no such thing as unity among people of color!!!

I recently found an interesting lead to a post in the comments (thank you) and I did a bit of checking up on it and discovered it was true . . . Big Media doesn't report on this kind of stuff but it's the local political gossip that makes running this blog worthwhile . . .

APPARENTLY, MAYOR FUNKY'S AIDE CRISPIN REA WAS RECENTLY KICKED OUT OF A BLACK AGENDA GROUP MEETING!!!

I've heard a couple of different reports as to how it went down and why but the ones that sound the most credible to me reveal that midway through a recent meeting Rea was asked leave and not to come back because he wasn't really contributing anything of substance and it's clear that the recent Latino graduate had very little influence or attention from Mayor Funkhouser. His dismissal by the group was intended to be a message to the Mayor that he should take this group a little bit more seriously and send someone a bit higher ranking than a messenger.

And while I think that's hilarious . . . Naturally, TKC doesn't like it when any Latino is shown the door. It seems that people have a penchant for kicking Latinos out of places nowadays and it's a bit disheartening to see the Black political elite getting into the act . . . Still, a Latino Republican getting deported from a highly influential Kansas City political gathering has to rate high on the International Irony Meter.
