I hate most Kansas City bands because they're shiftless, lazy and not very talented. Tripp Algiers is the exception to my negative stereotypes regarding white people playing music in Kansas City.
As a matter of fact, TRIPP ALGIERS COULD BE THE HARDEST WORKING BAND IN KANSAS CITY!!!

Tripp Algiers has been in the process of recording and releasing a song for each month of 2008 through Myspace.com. With each single, we offer free download of the mp3 through our myspace (for a limited time). Throughout the year, we will be releasing EPs for each season (currently available is Winter - featuring music from January through March). Each season's EP is designed by one member of the band (for more info on Ben Wachter's design visit our blog). The total number of all the EPs to be released will equal 366, matching the days of 2008. Once the year is complete, we will release all of the songs on a final album that will be part of a yearbook featuring pictures, quotes, "classes" and clubs with the band, friends and fans.That's definitely a noteworthy effort and if they accomplish even half of that then they've put in more work than half the casual drug users who play music in this town . . . Again, I like this group and I've embedded one of my favorite songs of theirs in this post. TKC feed readers, take a listen to "March of the Plebs" . . . I like it because it sounds alt-y but kinda like Styx as well.
