Springtime is for sowing seeds of bitterness

Jared Allen is gone, 74 million dollars richer, but it looks like his crappy restaurant (or rather, the one named after him, is staying.

Even worse, local media folk are trying to create a faux controversy over the fate of King Carl Peterson.

Was it Jared Allen's greed that was responsible for the trade or was it Peterson's incompetence as a football GM?

It doesn't matter . . . King Carl would have been deposed a long time ago if his job performance was based merely on the Chiefs performance . . . It's not about that and local media people don't have the courage or the skill to note that King Carl's greatest talent is sticking the taxpayers of (broke-ass) Jackson County with the bill for his mediocre brand of entertainment.

Hard as it is for so many Kansas Citians to understand: Pro-Football isn't about wins and losses, it's about getting paid and as long as King Carl keeps the public money coming in, he's not going anywhere . . . The wins, losses, players and performance of the team is at best a forth rate concern. Chiefs fans will stay in their seats and keep watching TV as long as local media people are complicit in selling hope to unsuspecting, desperate and clueless sports fans - That routine has worked in this town for more than 30 years.

Meanwhile, the Front Office of the Chiefs have this town in a tizzy and talking about meaningless games and mediocre players while they continue to earn hundreds of millions in (taxpayer) support for their operation that exists solely as a distraction to entertain the parasites from Johnson County while further enriching a family already worth billions.

  1. Shockingly, the food at the restaurant was pretty damn good and the beers cheap. Too bad. It'll be closed soon.

The chef was Jared Allen's executive chef so he's probably going to go bye bye.
