New TKC Feature: Giving the finger

Here are people, places and things around Kansas City I'm flipping off . . . Feel free to participate in the comments:

  • The Paseo Bridge gets the bird for blocking traffic and being unoriginal.

  • The people who panicked about Chubby's being closed get the finger because Chubby's is open once again before I had a chance to miss it. . . Also, anybody who mentions the old place on Indy Ave deserves to be flipped off for being too sentimental about greasy hamburgers and sleazy clientèle - Which admittedly has always been the appeal of Chubby's for TKC.

  • Editors and newsies who don't give anywhere near enough coverage for this year's AIDS walk deserve to be flipped off!!! (Alternately, read the latest issue of Camp KC for more details and a realization that the disease is still around and in Kansas City)

  • Crooked po'folk deserve the finger for making the Kansas City area a prime example of the latest trend among losers: Copper Thievery.

    1. "New trend" -- apparently the news reporters need to get out of their golden ghettos a little more often...they've been stealing copper for years...although the phone lines seem to be relatively new now that they've stripped out all of the water piping...

    2. Or get out of the Westside basement of their mother's home. However, the recent spike in copper thefts is news, brent.

    3. The thing I'd be sentimental for about Chubby's is being stared at by weird hobos while I eat my burger, Gotta love it!

    5. Apparently the "recent spike" news because it's hitting people outside of midtown and the urban core?

Those of us who live in the city center have known about this "latest trend" for years and years...
