Kansas City Culture via Youtube

Checking my Youtube subscriptions it's rare that I can come up with a theme for all of the truly random video that local folks publish to the Internets.

Today was a rare exception. The first clip I viewed as kinda old and back when Johnny Dare still had his Westport Bar. Sniffle. Anyhoo, the clip features a bunch of Kansas City skanks on an 8 person bike called "The Anaconda" created by a dude who is just as clever as the name of his motorcycle implies . . . I wouldn't call it a must see but there are women wearing short skirts yelling "Wooooo!" so that's plus.

On the other the hand, The Lyric is promoting its latest show online as well.

The Lyric Opera of Kansas City concludes its 50th anniversary season with the world premiere of John Brown by composer and Kansas-native Kirke Mechem. John Brown will run May 3, 5, 7, 9, & 11th at the Lyric Theater, 1029 Central, Kansas City, Missouri.

And both of these local clips are nearly as captivating as all of those re-edited clips of that Angry German Kid on youtube flipping out over various Internet phenomenon OR this awesome Youtube video of two blonde, Kansas City swimsuit models greasing each other up before a photo shoot.
