The contentious relationship between the local Internets and mainstream media in Kansas City continues!!!
Welcome to the club KC Talk . . . Once again a local website claims that it's getting screwed out of credit for an upcoming story - This is beginning to be a theme when it comes to the Kansas City Internets.
Here's KC Talk's side of the story from a fantastic post by Frank:
On Wednesday night at 10pm, NBC Action News in Kansas City will run an investigative story on a topic hot here at KCTalk for almost a year. After broken promises documented here on the forums DIRECTLY from the dealership to customers, and many unreturned phone calls, FINALLY victims are getting action.Seems to me that KC Talk deserves some credit since they hosted an awesome conversation on the topic for nearly a year. What do you d-bags think?
With over 50,000 views, and 2,000 posts between two threads, Chad Franklin Automotive AKA Legend Suzuki finally will be exposed . . . I am also giving 20:1 odds that KCTalk get NO MENTION whatsoever from NBC even though they will take information from this site...
TKC NOTE: I just wanna add that when it comes to giving blogger or Internet credit, KSHB is way ahead of the pack when it comes to the rest of the media in town, so maybe the KC Talk crew might get a surprise . . . Other than the unnatural love between Frank and Venkman, of course.
The local media in this town are nothing more than Headline writers. There is rarely any depth to what they write & cover. I don't mind that the TV news (which is limited in time) acts this way, I do however think that the Star is a joke.
ReplyDeleteThe Pitch is the only decent media in town. They actually investigate shit and do research. David Martin is the best. Most other media are stenographers, and some bloggers (TKC) just make shit up. That's easy.

KCTalk.com has really come around especially over the last year. Found that site through you Tony, and honestly I am impressed where it is going.
