A Tour of the Kansas City Dog Patch

The Midtown Miscreant proves that white people have it rough. (hehe)

Seriously, this local blogger takes a tour of one of the Kansas City area's forgotten places and the images he posts are ominous and heart breaking.

Here's just a bit of his first person report:
Back in the day when I was an entrepreneur( crook), I knew a few people who grew up in Dog Patch. They were small time petty criminals, car thieves, boosters (shoplifters), and low level dealers. All of them were drug addicts and or alcoholics. I didn't run with them, or hang out in the same circle, but , I knew them just the same. Dog Patch has the distinction of producing crime families.
What's amazing about this local blogger post is that IT CHALLENGES ASSUMPTIONS AND STEREOTYPES ABOUT HARD TIMES IN KANSAS CITY ON EVERY LEVEL!!!

This is a white guy, writing about a predominantly white place from personal experience in which he recounts crime, blight and hopelessness.

At a time when not a single media organization in Kansas City has reporting staff dedicated to poverty issues, the Midtown Miscreant offers a unique perspective that challenges our assumptions. Real Talk: Poverty in this town surpasses petty racial politics.

Just as Cheech and Chong once taught us, this first hand report on The Dog Patch proves once again that things are rough (sorry) all over.
