Nobody wants light rail in KC anymore!!!

Spivak posts the latest polling info from the Star:
In recent polling of Kansas City residents, only 42 percent of respondents supported a 3/8ths-cent sales tax increase for a light rail starter route in the city. That compares to another light rail poll done last fall in which a higher percentage – 46 percent – supported a ¼-cent sales tax increase for light rail.
I'd like to thank Mayor Funky and Clay Chastain for this bit of good news!!! People were eager to support any kind of stupid plan for light rail until they got a good look at the behavior of the folks involved in the process . . . In very much the same way that folks who want to remain blissfully unaware of the ugly truth should never peek in the kitchen of their favorite restaurant or see their girlfriend without makeup.

  1. So, wait a minute. There are less people in favor of a higher tax. That's CRAZY!!!!
