Kansas City serves up brand new slurs!!!

Apparently, this town's reputation as reactionary and bigoted place is growing every day. Recently, Kansas City earned a mention in a Canadian Newspaper for coining a moderately amusing term to describe cheapskates:
A similar case in Kansas City was reported last year on a Listserv, or electronic mailing list, used by linguistics experts. A University of Kansas linguist said that a waitress friend reported that "fellow workers used to use a name for inner-city families that were known to not leave a tip: Canadians. 'Hey, we have a table of Canadians.... They're all yours.' "
I've always known that Kansas City was creative with insults but garnering international noteriety for our rudeness is somewhat gully. Thanks to the increasingly racially divisive climate in this town I'm sure there will be more noteworthy slurs to follow. I, for one, never thought that the term "Mammy" would make a comeback but here were are . . . As Kansas City loses jobs, conventions and recognition as a progressive town it's nice to see that our cynicism and razor sharp tongues show no sign of calling it quits.

  7. Actually, I've heard this term used in reference to inner city folk. Now that everyone knows it, I'm sure it will be changed to something else.

  8. I'd be surprised if anyone who works in a restaurant HASN'T heart this term.

Another popular one is the "CFs" which stands for Church F*ckers (people who come in on Sundays, sit at your table for six hours, and leave you a $.47 tip to round their check up to an even amount). They're similar to "Campers" but "CFs" only come in on Sundays.
