Tis the season to fight predatory lending

A great article by the Kansan reports that Kansas City, Kansas lags behind many other area cities in restrictions on predatory lenders who tend to take advantage of po'folk strapped for cash during the holiday season.

  1. Oh look, another one opened up on Main Street between 36 and 37 street. That MainCor is something else.
    In other words MainCor sucks.

  2. it amazes me that a government that does not teach students how to handle money on a day to day basis let alone how to invest, screams bloody murder when capitalism takes over and exploits the uneducated. Teach children how to handle money, and these places will go away.

  3. Start paying more on the lower end of the pay scale and you might see a drop. You can teach someone about being thrifty and responsible, but if you pay them sub standard wages they are going to do whatever it takes including what amounts to loan sharking.

  4. Predatory lending?

It can't happen without stupid borrowers.

When these legal loan sharks start confiscating the consumer's money with the threat of a weapon, wake me up.

Otherwise, it's just a boo-freakin-hoo brain dead subject about stupid people.
