The Westside is Beautiful

Sometimes I forget that I live in a wonderful neighborhood.

Sure, there have been a bunch of break-ins lately.

Things aren't as exciting now that the dancing crackhead down the block moved out because his house was condemned.

And the summer has brought the meth ho across the street back inside.

However, the Westside is just getting more beautiful as neighbors continue to work on behalf of this place.

For instance, Alfredo Parra is the leader of the newly founded "Westside Beautification Committee."

The group has a host of plans which not only include planting some pretty flowers around this place . . . Note: Maybe just as nice as the tulips that D-bag Durwin Rice has put together on Troost.

Also, the group continues to work for Wayfinding Signs for the Westside along with noting that this neighborhood needs more lights in order to promote safety and a clear path when I take the bus home from a long day of drinking with older white women of leisure.
