Mayor Funky supports alleged arsonists?

There's all kind of political news coming out of the Cali forest fires . . . Some people are blaming the Mexicans, others are blaming God and most lay the blame for the fire on global warming.

However, a really great blogger named Dee notes that police have arrested a biker and alleged arsonist with connections to the National Socialist Movement AND the Minutemen for a part in the recent forest fire news.

Thing is, I'm not a fan of lumping people into huge groups just as the Minutemen racially profile ALL Latinos.

It should be noted that it has been a tactic of the Minutemen to form a wide variety of disparate groups which all share the same name but no national structure. You never really know which set of Minutemen you're dealing with . . . In much the same way that few folks bring up the fact that self-proclaimed Minuteman founder Chris Simcox was convicted on federal gun charges not so long ago.

Still, it was only a matter of time until members of Minutemen started earning rap sheets . . . Just like any group of folks over a certain time will run afoul of the law. The laughable part in all of this will be the explanations of the Minutemen that just because one of their members might be involved in a crime doesn't mean that they're all guilty . . . Of course, they're right about that but it's not a bit of logic they extended to Latinos whom they racially profile at every turn.
