Not really.
But the Republicans kept mentioning Hillary Clinton so much it was hard to get a grasp of what THEY stood for . . . Other than white privilege, of course.
Nevertheless, here are a few local interpretations of the debate from area folks on the Internets:
As always, feel free to leave a link to your post in the comments and I'll try to get around to posting it later . . . Or simply
Ron Paul sure did win Fox News' text poll, leaving the others completely in the dust. Here's a video of Ron Paul being interviewed by Schmannity & Holmes after the debate. I just sent him $25 on the strength of it.
ReplyDeleteselective text poll. Show me something where Paul polls above the margin of error.
ReplyDeleteIMO McCain (alright but likely to get me killed in a foreign land) and Guiliani (boo) won the debates.
McCain showed himself to be the true conservative among a bunch of poseurs. Guiliani was finally able to run on his 'law and order' without using the word 911.
The GOP is fucked anyway and they know it. Americans never vote against people that claim they are going to give them free money/healthcare.
Another troubling trend: Attacking baby boomers in the debate. As a younger man I loved it, but it probably isn't the right strategy for national victory. (Huckabee made a ref to 'old hippies' getting free Rx drugs, and McCain made fun of Woodstock and a measly 1 mil to put a little museum there that Hildog voted for)
