I'm sending someone I know to this local conference regarding hoarding today:

Tri-County Mental Health Services will host the Aging and Mental Health Coalition 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday. The guest speaker will be Kim Reynolds, project coordinator of the University of Kansas’ School of Social Welfare office of aging and long-term care.

Reynolds will lead a discussion on the recent study of older Kansans with hoarding problems. A brief overview of current interventions and outcomes of hoarding cases in Kansas will be reviewed as well as recommendations of how states can build on existing service networks to address hoarding.

The meeting will be in the second floor conference room of the Northland Human Services Building, 3100 N.E. 83rd St., Kansas City, North. For more information, call 816-468-0400, Ext. 153.

I might go too, but only to proclaim: "I better hurry up and get home before somebody throws away all my stuff" while I walk out the door and then RUN to the elevator with reckless abandon.
